As the Treasurer of FOS, Paula sends out invoices for membership to families and businesses that support the organization as well as recording payments when they are received. She also tracks donations and grants. Paula handles reimbursements for the organization and files appropriate paperwork with the state and IRS annually. Paula has been the chair of some of our most recent Discover Saxonville Days events. This involves coordinating volunteers and businesses that participate.
Paula has lived in Saxonville for 40 years and graduated from Framingham North High School. She graduated from Northeastern with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and worked for Children’s Hospital after college for over 22 years as a Grant Accountant. Paula has worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for 14 years (12 ½ years as a Team Lead in their Research Accounting Office and the last 1 ½ years in Grants and Contracts as a Grant Management Officer).
While her sons were in school, Paula was involved with Stapleton Elementary and Cameron Middle School PTO’s as the treasurer for their organizations. At Framingham High School, Paula oversaw the membership committee as served on their scholarship committee, which she chaired for a year.
Paula taught CFF classes at St. George Church for 12 years and was involved with their Youth Group. She and David helped chaperone a World Youth Day trip to Madrid through St. George Church and the Archdiocese of Boston in 2011.
Outside of FOS, Paula and David enjoy spending time with their sons, daughter-in-law, and future daughter-in-law as well as other family and friends. Paula enjoys going to craft fairs and farmer’s markets to help support local vendors, and purchasing unique gifts. Paula and David enjoy traveling to destinations inside and outside of the USA with many of their trips taken on cruise ships. She spends summers at their Sebago Lake cottage where she enjoys swimming, boating, and having get togethers with family and friends.
